Hi! I'm Sammy.

I started Hobbyist after moving to Brussels with a suitcase of my mom's craft supplies. As a new expat, hosting craft nights with my friends brought so much joy and confidence as I settled into the city. I loved meeting new faces of a growing creative community, a pocket of Brussels I wanted to bring together. ​
Four years later, I still love sharing moments of silly creative exploration with you all -- the transient locals looking for home away from home; the travelling passers-by wanting a true Brussels experience; and the Brusseleir who wants to show the best side of their charming city.
